·      The Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) is an annual meeting of the Region 1 representation of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). AIS is a growing organization of over 4000 IS/IT academic and professionals representing:

·      The cities that have hosted the most recent AMCIS conferences include Boston (2001), Dallas (2002), Tampa (2003), New York (2004), Omaha (2005), and Acapulco (2006). AMCIS 2007 scheduled for August 9-12, 2007 in Keystone, Colorado and hosted by Colorado State University will be the 13^th Annual AMCIS conference.

·      The annual meeting is the largest gathering of IS/IT Professors and Ph.D. students in North America.  The conference generally draws over 1000 delegates with more than 20% of the attendees from the international community.
