Description:

   This session aims to investigate the theory, methodology, and practices of content and process enabled knowledge discovery and information management for B2B and B2C business intelligence. That is, it focuses on the efficient and intelligent techniques to mine the data and to share the information in work processes or the organizational repository for actionable knowledge. Additionally, the context-awareness techniques based on the business process with related content information to improve project management, enterprise-wide information systems, supply chain management, and knowledge management are also welcomed. Given that it is also expected to provide a list of propositions which form the broad basis of empirical research agenda to explore and identify the mechanism in understanding and applying to the electronic business improvements. This session is also to provide a source for the analysis of industrial influences, instrumentality, and evaluations for adopting knowledge discovery technologies for B2B/B2C electronic commerce from the aspect of information systems adoption and planning. Academics, industrial practitioners, and governmental entities can benefit from discovered knowledge to strengthen current knowledge management, and thus to make judgments of further actions. 

The mini-track will focus on:

  • Distributed knowledge sharing environments
  • Incentive models for knowledge sharing
  • Provision of competitive services for knowledge sharing
  • Integration of individual and group activities in the organization
  • Integration of virtual and real-world knowledge sharing
  • Intelligent task support for e-business intelligence
  • Integration of  business processes associated with the content information for effective knowledge retrieval and decision support
  • Theoretical foundations of knowledge discovery from data for e-business intelligence
  • New methods and algorithms of data/text mining for decision support
  • Modeling and retrieving of context for e-business intelligence: context-awareness applications that use context information to create intelligent IT service.
  • Content and process enabled knowledge discovery for customer relationship management (CRM)
  • Information system adoption for e-business intelligence: Anatomy of successful/failed cases
