Description:

The mini-track highlights the growing and essential importance of modeling to the systems development process and systems building efforts.  This mini-track provides an outlet for researchers engaged in research in the area of method engineering and modeling language development, use, modification, and assessment.  The objective is to work toward a more standardized set of concepts which would in turn benefit researchers, educators, and practitioners in this field.  We welcome both technical and empirical pieces, and are open to all aspect of research methods (e.g., survey, experimentation, case studies, action research, etc.)

The mini-track is interested in (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • Advances in ER Modeling

  • Advances in Process based modeling

  • Agile Modeling

  • Aspect Oriented Modeling

  • Cognitive Mapping and Modeling

  • Conceptual Modeling

  • Database Systems and Technologies

  • Enterprise Modeling

  • Information Modeling for E-Commerce and Mobile Commerce

  • Languages used in Database Modeling

  • Modeling E-Commerce Architectures

  • Model-driven Development

  • Requirements Engineering

  • Service Oriented Architecture

  • Unified Modeling Language

  • Unified Process
