     A Taste of Colorado

AMCIS conference attendees experienced a special Taste of Colorado evening. The food and music were terrific,  but the brief rain brought out a fantastic double rainbow and glowing sunset. A terrific fireworks supply supplied by Keystone capped off a special evening.

Food

Attendees should come prepared to sample some of the best food Colorado has to offer, like Colorado raised chicken, Alamosa bass, buffalo, black bean and corn chili, and Colorado peaches and cantelope!  Colorado's crisp mountain air, fresh Rocky Mountain water, and 375 days of sunshine a year give its food a taste all its own!  So get ready for a Colorado culinary experience!

Drink

At high-altitude it's important to stay hydrated. We are going to do our best to help you out with this. Colorado is famous for its Rocky Mountain water and is the home of Coors and New Belgium beer, some terrific wine, and .... clear, cold, water! Sample a Colorado chardonnay, one of our terrific New Belgium micro-brewed beers, or a cold Coors.

Music

The event wouldn't be complete without some authentic Rocky Mountain High, Colorado's state song! Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Jim Salestrom.   Jim is an Emmy Award Winning Songwriter, a gifted guitarist and a seasoned performer who has been writing and recording music since he was 13. He truly represents the sound of Colorado. His music crosses generational boundaries and is enjoyed by fans of all ages. During a career spanning the last 35 years, Jim has recorded and performed with such stellar artists as John Denver, Kenny Rogers, and Dolly Parton, and has appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Academy Awards Show, and 2 HBO specials. He has performed for four United States Presidents and at The U.S. Supreme Court for his friend Justice Sandra Day O’Conner. Jim has toured and performed all over the world but has built a loyal following in the Rocky Mountains where he has lived for over 25 years.
