This spring, the College of Business students have two new international opportunities in which they may participate.
The first program is in Dublin, Ireland, and is an International Internship Program taking place from June 8, 2009 - August 1, 2009. There are two College of Business students participating in this inaugural year - Carolyn Lucchesi in finance and Shawna Strickland in marketing. Students are placed with well-known companies in many industry sectors, as well as with smaller innovative organizations.
The second program is an exchange program with the Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences, one of the few private universities in Germany. This program consists of two courses taught in English, as well as a variety of excursions to cultural sites, European institutions, and companies. The students will take Business in Europe and a course in German culture and German language. This is a three week program taking place from June 21 – July 11. We have ten students going – both business majors and minors. The students all stated that the opportunity to study abroad but still be able to work this summer due to the three-week format is what attracted them to the program.
These students are:
Ellen Butler
Amanda Smith
Justin Ramer
Kirsten Gosch-Hedlund
Kelsey Brownstein
Andrea Klodetsky
Jonathan Morris
Kristen Anusewicz
Jonathan Powell
Brian Huber
During the fall 2009 semester, we should have three students visiting here from Heidelberg and, perhaps, another two during the spring 2010 semester.
If you see any of our students who are going off on these adventures, please wish them well!
