The Center has created a Real Estate Hall of Fame
to honor alumni and members who have realized extraordinary
achievements in the field of Real Estate. The award will be given
annually and a plaque bearing the recipients name will be placed in
the lobby of Rockwell Hall.
In 2007 the Center established a new award to recognize the up and
coming leaders of Real Estate; the Real Estate Entrepreneur of the
Year. This annual award will recognize its recipients by a
plaque housed in the College of Business, Rockwell Hall.

2007 Hall of Fame Inductee
Bill Reynolds is the President
and founder of the W.W. Reynolds Companies.
The W.W. Reynolds Companies was
founded in 1966 and is a real estate development and professional
property management firm based in Boulder.
During the last
40 years, Bill and his companies have developed more than two
million square feet of office, commercial and residential buildings
in Boulder and Fort Collins. His most recent project is the 500,000
square foot mixed-use development, One Boulder Plaza in downtown
Boulder.
Bill Reynolds
was born in Boulder and grew up in Boulder’s Mapleton Historic
District. With the exception of the two years he served in the U.S.
Navy in San Diego, Bill has lived his whole life in Colorado. Bill
graduated from the University of Colorado in 1962 with a degree in
business.
Bill enjoys skiing, fishing, photography, cycling, travel and his
grandchildren.
Bill has served the community as a member of the Board of Directors
for the Chamber and is currently on the Board of Trustees for the
Boulder Community Hospital Foundation.
He was a founding member of the CU Real Estate Center and served as
President of the center. He was a founder and the first president
of the University of Colorado Real Estate Foundation.
The W.W. Reynolds Companies has been honored twice as NAIOP’s
Colorado Chapter Developer of the Year in 1991 and 2003.

2007 Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year
Chad has been engaged in the real estate industry for over 15
years. As Co-Founder & CEO, he is responsible for establishing and
implementing the company's mission, vision and core values and
overseeing the company's business development strategies. Since
1991, McWhinney has created several master-planned communities
consisting of over 5,000 acres of land and developed more than 3.3
million square feet of office, industrial, medical, retail and
residential properties throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and West
Coast. In 2003, McWhinney's signature community, Centerra, was named
the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP)
Colorado Chapter's Development of the Year. Chad’s community
