Undergraduate Program

What are the grade requirements for the CIS department?
As long as your cumulative College of Business GPA remains at a 2.0 or higher you can receive a "D-" in a class.

 

Can I get a minor in Computer Information Systems?
There is a certificate program. The Interdisciplinary Studies Program in Information Science and Technology is a collaborative certificate program. For more information, contact Dr. Pete Seel at (970) 491-2030.

 

What is the best way to contact a faculty member?
All members of the CIS faculty can be contacted by e-mail or students are invited to visit faculty in their offices during posted office hours. To find an e-mail address for a specific member of the faculty visit the Computer Information Faculty Page.

Graduate Program

What is the minimum required GPA from the undergraduate level to get into the M.S. CIS program?
You must have greater than a 3.0 GPA in your undergrad program.

 

Do you have to take the GMAT? If so, what must you score?
You must take the GMAT and score > 600 on the composite score.

 

If you have a degree from a university that is NOT in the US and is not an English speaking country, what tests need to be taken?

You must take the TOEFFL and score >565

 

Do you have to have an undergraduate degree from a four year program?
Yes, a 4 year undergraduate degree is required.
