The Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (MSBA-CIS) is designed to provide professional development for students interested in a career as a systems analyst, senior programmer, systems manager, systems integrator, or as a liaison person in such fields as marketing, production, accounting, finance, and personnel.
The Program
This Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems is designed for people without undergraduate degrees in CIS and can be completed in one calendar year. The program can also be taken part time. This 30 credit M.S. is ideally suited for persons with an undergraduate degree in some other business discipline.
Each student entering the MSBA-CIS program may choose either the Thesis option (Plan A) or the Project option (Plan B). The choice is determined by the student’s interests and strengths/weaknesses in the area of non-academic experience. Plan B gives the student a hands-on project providing the student with "real world" experience in an area of his or her interest. Plan A is recommended for students who may want to pursue additional graduate work. However, either option can be taken by any student. It is up to the student to choose.
