We’ve designed the Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems (MSBA-CIS) program at the College of Business to provide professional development for students interested in a career as a systems analyst, senior programmer, systems manager, systems integrator, or as a liaison person in such fields as marketing, production, accounting, finance, and human resources.
Our program is created for people without undergraduate degrees in CIS and can be completed in one calendar year. The program also can be taken part time. The MSBA-CIS is a 30-credit curriculum ideally suited for students with an undergraduate degree in another business discipline.
If you are entering the MSBA-CIS program, you may choose either the Thesis Option (Plan A) or the Project Option (Plan B). The choice is determined by your interests and non-academic professional experience. Plan B gives you a hands-on project providing real-world experience in your area of interest. Plan A is recommended if you want to pursue additional graduate work.
The chart below shows the course flow for the MSBA-CIS. You will need to meet with your adviser to determine the best schedule for you, particularly if you are continuing to work full time while studying for you MSBA-CIS.
