As a student enrolled in the Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems program at the College of Business, we want to help you succeed in your academic endeavors as well as get a head start in the job market. We’ll work with you to construct an academic path that will best fit your goals, and stay connected along the way to make sure everything is going well. You’ll benefit from professional advice and counseling, and get the support and resources necessary to be successful in the completion of your Master of Science in Computer Information Systems.

The MSBA-CIS works well for students who have already have an undergraduate degree in business, though accommodations can be made for those with other majors.

Academic Advising
Once you have been accepted into the MSBA-CIS program, you’ll need to meet with your academic adviser who will help you create a curriculum that works for you. Our program is designed to be completed over the course of one year, but a number of our students choose to work as well as attend classes and take a longer time to complete their degree. Since most of our courses are in the evening, we provide the flexibility you need to complete your MSBA-CIS.  Your adviser will work with you to meet your goals and prepare you to take the next step into the workplace.

Career Advising
The College of Business works closely with the Colorado State University Career Center and visiting companies to arrange interviews, job fairs, and job postings. Colorado State’s Career Center also has a liaison in Rockwell Hall who can work with you one-on-one as a career adviser. You can take advantage of workshops to learn how to build your resume, request letters of recommendation, interviewing skills, workplace etiquette and more. The Career Center maintains a job database with more than 13,000 listings that can jumpstart your job search.
