Richard Bartels is the owner of Bartels & Company,
LLC, a full-service CPA firm located in Greeley, Colorado. His firm has
an emphasis in assisting clients in the construction contracting, real
estate developing, and homebuilding industries.
Mr. Bartels graduated from Colorado State University where he received
his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting degree in
1981. He immediately began his professional career working in the Denver
office of KPMG-Peat Marwick. Bartels founded Bartels & Company, LLC in
1990.
Along with managing his CPA firm, Mr. Bartels is also active with
co-founding and managing several local retail businesses as well as
investing in and developing several real estate projects in the Northern
Colorado area, including retail, commercial, and residential projects.
He also enjoys his involvement in homebuilding.
Mr. Bartels is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. He
has served on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations
and is currently on the board of directors of the Weld County Juvenile
Assessment Center, Inc., the Daniel H. Alberts Foundation and The Big
Thompson Canyon Flood Memorial, Inc.
Mr. Bartels is married to Jane and they have two children, Amy, a junior
at Colorado State University and Kimberly, a high-school senior. |
