Stephanie Allen is the President of The Athena
Group, a consulting and training firm specializing in the advancement
and retention of senior corporate women. Her work has taken her into
corporations and professional firms and associations throughout the US
including Andersen Consulting, John Hancock, Hewlett Packard, AICPA, and
Telstra, Australia’s second largest corporation.
Ms. Allen has 26 years experience in leadership, leadership development,
and program development. Her experience ranges from CEO of Management
Support Technology, a software development company she took public in
1986, to Senior Vice-President of Performance Training Corporation where
she trained corporate executives in communication skills.
Ms. Allen has demonstrated her community leadership by raising over 50
million dollars for educational organizations. Her dedication to
education inspired her to found Explo: The Career Education Fair, which
served over 150,000 school children in Metropolitan Denver, and Spree:
The Colorado Celebration of the Arts.
Ms. Allen has held board positions in over 20 organizations, and is
currently on the board of HealthONE, a major hospital system, serving as
Chair of the Ethics Committee, and President of the Women’s Vision
Foundation. Some of her past involvements include: President of the
Women’s Forum of Colorado, Chair of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of
Commerce, Co-chair and Founder of the Colorado Women’s Leadership
Coalition and President of the Junior League of Denver.
Ms. Allen received the US Small Business Administration’s Regional 1996
Women in Business Advocate of the Year award and in 1999 the University
of Denver Dan Ritchie Colorado Ethics in Business award. She is the
Founder and Board Chair of the Women’s Vision Foundation and was
inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in March of 2006.
With her sister, Carolyn, she is co-author of Doing It All Isn’t
Everything: A Woman’s Guide to Harmony and Empowerment. |
