During the summer of 2009, two new faculty members joined Colorado State University’s Department of Marketing.
Tuba Üstüner, Assistant Professor of Marketing, recently taught at Cass Business School in London. Prior to joining academia, Tuba worked at Procter & Gamble, and she started up a business-to-business marketing firm in Turkey. She holds a doctorate from Harvard Business School, an MBA from Texas Tech, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois. Tuba’s research interests include consumer acculturation, status consumption, and the sociology of consumption in the developing world. Her work has been published in the Harvard Business Review, and the Journal for Consumer Research.
Shuoyang Zhang, Assistant Professor of Marketing, will be receiving her Ph.D (in December of 2009) from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. She has a Master of Science in Psychology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Master of Business from Indiana University. Shuoyang’s primary research stream examines the impact of social networks on information processing, brand attitudes, and consumer decision making. Her research has been published in several journals including the Journal of Consumer Research.
