Our goal is to provide a relevant, applied curriculum that goes beyond the numbers. Our faculty prepare students for both short-term career goals, such as providing knowledge needed for the CPA exam, as well as long-term career success. Accounting students embark on careers in a dynamic and prestigious profession pursuing positions in public accounting firms, industry, and government. Students benefit from our close relationships with alumni and accounting firms through internships, scholarships, and numerous guest speakers. We offer both an undergraduate degree and a Master in Accountancy, which is especially designed for those interested in pursuing the CPA license.

As one of the first CIS programs in the country in 1964, it’s our goal to continue that pioneering tradition as we enhance the curriculum to serve today’s advances in technology. Our faculty are committed to providing a relevant systems education with a unique blend of technical and business-oriented topics and skills. Students benefit from close industry relationships with our departmental advisory council, internship opportunities, and access to state-of-the-art facilities. Our graduates take jobs including system administration; systems analysis, design, and development; consulting; and management for global companies across industries.

Our mission is to continually advance our programs through research, education, and practice. We offer a specialized graduate program in finance as well as finance-related MBA courses. Undergraduate areas of study include: investments, corporate finance, financial planning, real estate, and risk management and insurance. Our 20 faculty integrate research and industry experience to support high-level student learning outcomes. Students have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab and 16 Bloomberg® terminals featuring industry-leading analytical software (SAS, R). Students have the opportunity to manage three investment portfolios, all currently valued in excess of $250,000.

Our goal is to transform the lives of our students through educating them as future leaders and entrepreneurs to address global business challenges. Our undergraduate concentrations include management and innovation, human resource management, and supply chain management. We also offer specialized certificates for undergraduate and graduate students. Our world renowned faculty conduct research in organizational behavior, human resource management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, and supply chain management with a focus on sustainability and diversity and inclusion. We strive to enrich the communities that we serve through excellent programs and strong alumni relations. Our graduates make global business better by using their knowledge and skills at companies such as Amazon, Ball Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Otter Products, and Woodward.

Our department is dedicated to instructional excellence and the pursuit of insights that make the world a better place. Students pursuing a degree in marketing can tailor their studies toward gaining expertise in market research, marketing communications and branding, business-to-business selling, customer experience management, or strategic marketing. In addition to gaining a contemporary understanding of marketing, our students develop tangible skills and learn from numerous “hands-on” marketing experiences. Our faculty include Doug Hoffman, a University Distinguished Teaching scholar who also received the Board of Governors’ Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, and Kelly Martin, a recipient of CSU’s prestigious Monfort Professorship.
