Rick Allen joined J.D. Edwards in August
1985, and during the past 17 years he has held the senior-most financial
position with the company. Allen has responsibility for the company's
finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations, acquisition, legal,
real estate and administrative activities. In prior years he was also
responsible for human resource and information technology.
Allen has held the position of CFO since January 1990. He added Senior
Vice President of Finance and Administration to his title in 1997, and
then was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2000. He also served as
J.D. Edwards' controller from 1985 to 1990. Since September 1991, Allen
has served as a member of J.D. Edwards' Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the company, Allen was controller for Luff Exploration,
a J.D. Edwards client, from 1982 to 1985, and a senior accountant with
Coopers & Lybrand from 1979 to 1982.
Allen received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a
concentration in accounting in 1979 from Colorado State University. He
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, Financial
Executives Institute and the Working Council for Chief Financial
Officers. He serves on the board of WRS, Inc. and is member of the
Colorado State University Development Council.
Sean Daly is currently a partner with Ernst &
Young in Denver. Prior to joining Ernst & Young in 2002, Sean was
Managing Partner of the New Orleans office of Arthur Andersen. Sean
joined the Denver office of Arthur Andersen in 1976 and transferred to
New Orleans in 1987. Sean's clients have included public and private
companies in a variety of industries, focused primarily in energy and
mining.
Sean received a BSBA degree in accounting from Colorado State University
in 1975 and an MS degree from CSU in 1976. He received the Dean's award
as "Outstanding Graduating Senior- College of Business." Sean also
received the Elijah Watt Sells Silver Medal for the second highest score
in the nation on the November 1975 CRA exam.
Sean is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Martin's
Episcopal School, a member of the Board of Trustees of United Way for a
Greater New Orleans and INROADS/Louisiana, and is a member of the
Accounting Advisory Council of the University of the New Orleans. Sean
has also been a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement Economics
classes for high school seniors for over ten years.
