Courses required for the Bachelor of Science degree include those in University Core, Business Core, and Electives.

Finance Core Courses.  (12 Credits)

  • FIN310 Financial Markets and Institutions; Prerequisites: ECON204

  • FIN355 Principles of Investments; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305, FIN310

  • FIN475 International Finance; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305

In addition to the Finance Core Courses you must also complete one upper division accounting course (ACT310 Recommended for Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis ; ACT330 for Financial Planning
 

You may choose from the following Options in the Finance Concentration.

Corporate Finance Option consists of the following:
(12 Credits)

  • FIN370 Financial Management: Theory and Application; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305

  • FIN470 Financial Risk Management; Prerequisites: FIN355; spring only

  • FIN471 Enterprise Valuation; Prerequisites: FIN355 and FIN370; spring only

  • UD FIN or UD Accounting Elective

Investment Analysis Option consists of the following: (12 Credits)

  • FIN311 Debt Securities Analysis; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305, FIN310; fall only

  • FIN455 Advanced Portfolio Management; Prerequisites: FIN311 and FIN355; spring only

  • FIN470 Financial Risk Management; Prerequisites: FIN355; spring only

  • UD FIN Elective

Financial Planning Option consists of the following: (12 Credits)

  • FIN342 Risk Management and Insurance; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305; spring only

  • FIN350 Professional Financial Planning; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305, FIN310; spring only

  • FIN450 Management of Financial Institutions; Prerequisites: FIN300 or FIN305, FIN310; fall only

  • UD FIN Elective
