1. What can you tell me about the certificate programs offered in the college?
The College of Business offers five certificates to undergraduate students. You are encouraged to consider one or more of the certificate programs as a supplement to your concentration and career goals.  For more details . . .   

2. Is there a student organization that focuses on marketing?
Yes, the Marketing Department sponsors the CSU Marketing Club (a student chapter of the American Marketing Association).

3. What does the department have available for students interested in international marketing?
The department offers BK365 International Marketing taught by Dr. Rob Allerheiligen. Dr. Allerheiligen has traveled and consulted extensively around the world.  This course has been offered for 12 years to Europe, with plans to alternate South America and Asia. The College also offers courses in International Management, Finance, and Accounting. Many of the Marketing Department faculty have international experience and include this dimension in their courses. Dr. Allerheiligen has functioned as the Director of International Programs for the College of Business and is a good contact to discuss study abroad opportunities and electives in other colleges at CSU that will prepare the student well for a career in international marketing.

4. Does the department offer an internship program?
Yes, The Marketing Internship is designed to give qualified students an opportunity to apply what they have learned. Integration of formal classroom training and on-the-job experience provides insights, knowledge and skills that will enhance the learning experience of both the students and the sponsoring organization. 5. Do I have an advisor?
Each student is assigned to a faculty advisor, as well as a professional academic advisor. The faculty advisor is responsible for providing career consultation and the academic advisor provides guidance concerning courses, majors and graduation requirements.

6. What is the best way to contact a faculty member?
All members of the marketing faculty can be contacted by e-mail or students are invited to visit faculty in their offices during posted office hours. To find an e-mail address for a specific member of the faculty visit the Marketing Faculty page.

7. Where can I find information about planning a career in marketing?
The marketing department web site provides information about marketing professionals, career planning guides and career web sites.
