The MBA program format is semester based, with two eight-week terms in each semester. Summer semesters are one eight-week term. All but two classes in the program are 2-credits or 8-weeks in duration; the accounting class and the strategic management class are 4-credits or 16-weeks. The MBA requires total 40 credits and follows a lock-step curriculum. This means initial classes form a foundation for subsequent classes that build on content and provide continuity and integration of course material.
The MBA curriculum taken at a distance may be completed in 21-months or flexed up to 5 years to fit your professional and personal timetable. We have provided you an example of a 21-month program plan and one for completion in four years to help with your planning. The MBA advisors are available to work with you to plan out whatever schedule will work best for you.
Colorado State University offers a Certificate in Finance to complement its MBA programs and envisions adding other areas of interest in the future.
