Mark Swanson
Optibrand Ltd., LLC
Mark Swanson is the Chief Operating Officer
for Optibrand Ltd., LLC., a Fort Collins Colorado Livestock ID company.
Prior to joining Optibrand, Swanson held a number of different positions
at ConAgra Foods and Swift & Company. At Optibrand Swanson is
responsible for expanding the application of Optibrand’s Livestock
Traceability technology to world wide operations in both the live animal
and processing sectors. He is also responsible for supply chain
management, strategic planning and development, manufacturing, technical
services and customer support.
Swanson earned both his Bachelor of Science and his
Master of Business Administration degrees from Colorado State University
in Fort Collins. He has been active in the Colorado State University
Alumni Association and was co-owner of Swanson Cattle Company in
Longmont, Colorado. He began his career in the beef industry with Iowa
Beef Processors in 1986. In 1989 he joined ConAgra, Inc. where he
advanced through a number of positions including Operations Manager. In
1999 he became Director of Information Systems and Technology for Swift
and Company, playing a major leadership role in the transformation of
Swift’s IT systems into a strategic resource for logistical and supply
chain management. |
