  • Invest-o-rama From the National Association of Investment Clubs, provides links to more than 2,000 investment-related sites of what the others do; tracks your spending, savings and investments and calculated your progress toward financial goals.

  • INVESTools Advertising itself as giving "trusted advice for independent investors," this site contains both articles and useful tools. In November, for example, INVESTools offered information on a "relative strength methodology," baseline company reports and a weekly update and analysis. The site also contains proprietary charts and Standard and Poor's stock reports. INVESTool presents a rotating series of features advisers, such as Al Frank, the editor of the Prudent Speculator.

  • Investor Assistance and Complaints Get the official word on regulations and protecting investors at the Securities and Exchange Commission's antifraud site. The Commission does a nice job of high-lighting major themes on its welcome page. Visitors can visit the "Investor Alerts" to read about scams currently making the rounds, learn how investment fraud is spreading on the Internet or read about the procedure to submit a formal complaint about a stockbroker.

The UAW program provides very detailed descriptions about the companies we cover, this information may be used by the students who are looking for careers with any of the over 6,000 companies included in the UAW.

  • The 401(k) Forum, which bills itself as the "first Internet-based investment advisory service for 401(k) participants," provides information for employees and employers. One section (the Press Lounge) gives news quotes and blurbs on 401(k) issues and another lists career opportunities. 

  • Pension specialists created this site, 401kMax to provide administrative support services for retirement plans. This site is broken down into four categories; plan design, document and installation; plan administration; daily valuation record-keeping and reporting; and compliance.

  • This site maintained by the 401(k) Network, offers interactive tools to manage retirement investments. It gives users updates on the latest 401(k) news and legislation and provides frequently asked questions and answers concerning eligibility, contributions, distributions and plan assets.
