Dr. Allerheiligen has been teaching
at the university level since 1974. He received his Ph.D. from
the University of Southern California and taught in USC’s
Marshall School of Business for 6 years. In 1985, he joined
the faculty of the Marketing Department in the College of
Business at Colorado State University. He served six years as
the Director of International Programs for the College.
Dr. Allerheiligen began as a radio and TV personality. This
experience has been put to use in the College's distance
education program where on-campus graduate courses are video
taped and broadcast on cable television and sent to students
around the world. Dr. Allerheiligen or "Dr. Rob" as his
students call him, served three years as an officer in the
U.S. Marine Corps. He saw service in Vietnam and achieved the
rank of Captain. He has worked as an account executive for two
advertising agencies.
Dr. Allerheiligen specializes in International Marketing,
especially how culture variances affect business negotiation
and product adoption, and how former communist countries are
adapting to market economies. He has traveled extensively in
Eastern Europe both before and after the "fall of the wall,"
as well as China. In 1987, Dr. Allerheiligen developed a
course that takes students each summer to tour businesses for
four weeks in Western and Eastern Europe. Dr. Allerheiligen is
the author of a number of articles published in numerous
journals. He is listed in Who's Who in the West, Who'sWho in
Business and Industry and the International Who's Who of
Professionals
