Dear Students, Parents and Alumni,
As the world seemingly gets smaller, our Department keeps expanding, reflecting not only the explosive growth in the fields of finance and real estate, but also the popularity of our undergraduate programs. We are in the process of hiring new faculty members to accommodate that growth, as well as getting final approvals for a new graduate program.
Our Department covers a wide range of areas in the twin realms of finance and real estate. You’ll find our faculty members with academic and research programs in insurance, personal finance, asset pricing, quantitative finance, international IPO’s, micro-insurance and sustainable enterprise, just to name a few. The Department of Finance and Real Estate is undergoing a bit of a renaissance, and we are excited about the new paths we are walking with our students.
In our role as teachers, we provide our students with a broad and deep knowledge of the latest developments in finance and real estate. Our graduates enjoy a diverse menu of career choices, and are well prepared for those careers upon graduation.
As a land-grant institution, Colorado State University has three missions: teaching, research and service. In addition to our teaching role, as researchers we contribute to the creation of new knowledge that impacts our teaching. In our outreach mission, we take our expertise to the University community and beyond to provide relevant services.
We look forward to answering your questions about academic opportunities in the Department of Finance and Real Estate, and hope to see you on campus soon.
Best Regards,
Vickie Bajtelsmit
