The Master of Accountancy program in the College of Business gives you the skills you need to successfully compete for accounting and management positions whether in industry or government, international CPA firms or local businesses. We prepare you to work in a wide range of business services, including public accounting, auditing, financial and tax planning, and consulting on information systems.
Strong Public Accounting Orientation
Our graduates are in high demand from public accounting firms in Colorado and throughout the West. Our graduates perform exceptionally well on the Uniform CPA Examination.
Specialty Tracks
In the Master of Accountancy program, you can specialize in taxation, financial accounting and auditing, or consulting. We are one of a very few schools in the Mountain West region whose graduates are hired regularly by the tax departments of major CPA firms.
Flexibility
Whether you a part-time or full-time student, the Master of Accountancy program offers a schedule that will accommodate your needs. Working with your adviser, you can plan a curriculum timeline that best fits your busy life. If you’re coming back to school, you’ll be in good company. About one-half of our students come from non-accounting backgrounds and are returning to school to re-tool for a new career.
