Important announcements are frequently made by email. You will be assigned a College of Business email account, and you should check it daily. If you wish, you can have messages forwarded from the CSU account to your personal account (such as hotmail).
New students should make an appointment with the faculty advisor, Dr. Samelson (samelson@lamar.colostate.edu), for program planning before registering. If you are currently living out of town, initial advising can be done by email, but you should also make an advising appointment once you arrive on campus.
A program of study form (GS6) must be filed with the CSU Graduate School. This is normally done your first semester, though non-traditional students who are taking primarily undergraduate courses should wait until their second or third semesters. Instructions for filling out this form are given below. Keep a copy of this form for your records.
An application for graduation (GS25) must be filed with the CSU Graduate School early in your last semester. Exact dates vary yearly, and are posted on the Graduate School website and announced in the capstone seminars. Missing the deadline will delay your graduation by a semester. Important note: if the courses you actually took deviated from your GS6 in any way, this discrepancy must be listed on the application.
