Applications for the Professional MBA Program will be
accepted through May 1 of each year. Please note that the admissions
procedure for the Professional MBA Program has changed, completed
applications received on or before May 1 will be evaluated by the
Admissions Committee in the weeks following the deadline. The competitive admission policy is
required because of the high number of applicants for the limited spaces
open each year. If a candidate is qualified based on the admissions
criteria but does not make the final selection then that person will be
invited to join the Distance MBA Program or to update for the next
year’s Professional MBA Program class. Updating to the next year’s
Professional MBA Program does not constitute acceptance into the program, it allows
the applicant to try again for one of the slots in the evening program
in the following year..
The Professional MBA Program attracts professionals throughout the region to
study together in a dynamic, learning atmosphere. Every student learns
from each other’s diverse work experiences, leading to successful team
building and long-term networking opportunities. The program focuses on
fundamental aspects of advanced business, including domestic and
international case studies that highlight issues and concepts with
immediate applicability to the workplace.
This part-time professional program meets two evenings per week for
21-months. This 36-credit program covers four regular academic semesters
and one summer session and is designed for working professionals who
want to earn their MBA degree without interrupting their daytime
careers.
Professional MBA Program admission criteria consist of at least four years of
full-time professional experience, an undergraduate degree from an
accredited institution with at least a 3.0 GPA and a strong showing on
the GMAT. Applicants with 8 years or more of full-time professional
experience may petition for a waiver to the GMAT. For
additional admissions criteria and to complete the application process,
please review the Admissions Requirements. |
