2011-2012 Mentors and Mentees

Welcome!

The transition from high school to college is one filled with exciting opportunities and fresh beginnings, but many students have concerns about being away from family and friends, and adjusting to a new environment. One of the best ways to feel comfortable in your new academic and social surroundings is to get connected to people who care about you and your success. The College of Business Mentoring Program helps you make those connections, and get the support and guidance you need.

Our Mentoring Program eases the transition to the academic and social environment of Colorado State University and the College of Business for diverse and first-generation freshmen students by providing one-to-one mentor relationships and a host of other services.

Goals

At the College of Business Mentoring Program, our goals include:

• Support the transition process of underrepresented freshmen in the College of Business and Colorado State University.
• Increase student’s connection with the campus and college communities.
• Provide academic and career/professional guidance.

The College of Business Mentoring Program will pair you with a faculty or staff member, or upperclassman business student to give you a chance to meet and work with individuals who are knowledgeable about the College and want to help you do your best.
