Alma Rosales
I am always proud to assist the mentoring program in any way I can. Having been
a first generation college student myself, I well remember the challenges of adjusting
to college life, and the frustration in not having anyone that I could turn to with
even simple questions. It’s so important for students, especially first generation
students, to have a mentor who is committed to help students adjust to university
life. The students in the mentoring program, both mentors and mentees are enthusiastic
and receptive to developing their own skills and to helping each other. It is an
honor for me to work with such amazing students.
