Information is no longer scarce but abundant. This shift requires a new skill set, one that depends less on good search and more on the power of collective networks. Young people are developing these skills as natives to environments such as Facebook and Twitter. They understand. For the rest of us, we must change. This presentation takes a look at this shift, the emerging tools, and opens a dialog on how they can be applied to research and education.
