Recipients of the first College of Business Faculty Fellowships were announced at the Fellowship Awards Dinner on September 14. President and Dr. Penley joined Dean Menon and members of the College community in honoring the Fellows.

The Faculty Fellowship program was made possible through the generous contributions of private donors who recognize the exceptional talents of the COB faculty. Many of these contributors were present for the awards ceremony.

The Fellowship Awards honor faculty for outstanding scholarship and/or research activities and symbolize the continuing commitment of the COB to the pursuit of excellence. Faculty members so honored are recognized by their research, publication, instruction, citizenship and stand out as outstanding members of their discipline.

Beginning in 2004, outstanding faculty members will be recognized under this award program. Each honoree will receive a non-permanent base salary adjustment as well as a stipend to support teaching and or research efforts. The faculty titles awarded as a result of this program will be conferred for a period of up to three years. This group of distinguished faculty may be identified by this title in matters relating to the COB, its publications, academic ceremonies and other activities.
