FORT COLLINS - The Chief Operating Officer
of PerfectWave Technologies will speak at Colorado State
University's College of Business as part of the Great Entrepreneur
Speaker Series on Sept. 30.
Max Gelwix, who also serves as vice president of PerfectWave, will
speak at 11 a.m. at Rockwell Hall, Room 119 on the Colorado State
campus. Gelwix has spent eight years as the Chief Operating Officer
of publicly held businesses with an international scope of
operations and revenues approximating a quarter of a billion
dollars.
PerfectWave is a business dedicated to advancing the science of
speech signal processing for tactical military environments and
homeland security. Their products combine proprietary technology
with technical know-how to achieve performance and focus on three
specific applications of speech signal processing: speech quality
enhancement; speech recognition; and, speech authentication.
For 25 years, Gelwix has been in corporate management for companies
within the technology, biotechnology, insurance, building and
aviation industries. He also has provided risk management and
brokerage services to companies with national and international
operations and has been licensed by 32 states to practice insurance
risk management and provide brokerage services.
Gelwix will speak about how he became an entrepreneur, provide tips
about how to be successful in the business world and discuss how he
became involved in technology-based businesses.
Gelwix is a 1972 graduate of Colorado State's College of Business.
