Colorado State University has once again ranked among the nation's
top universities in U.S.News and World Report's 2007 "America's Best
Colleges" edition.
U.S.News and World Report listed Colorado State in the top tier of
public and private doctoral universities, along with institutions
such as Florida State University, Ohio State University and Iowa

"This ranking acknowledges that Colorado State competes among the
finest research institutions in the country," said Larry Edward
Penley, Colorado State president. "Our faculty and students look
beyond the borders of Fort Collins to solve some of the world's
greatest challenges, whether that's eradicating infectious diseases
from the planet, researching innovative treatments for cancers or
building more sustainable, environmentally friendly engines."
As part of the U.S.News report, Colorado State University also
ranked as the nation's 52nd top public university. Colorado State's
College of Engineering undergraduate program was ranked among the
nation's best as well at 71st. The College of Business undergraduate
program ranked 83rd. Other Colorado universities also ranked in the
top tier include the University of Colorado-Boulder and University
of Denver.
