The College of Business at Colorado State University recently honored
six members of its faculty and staff with excellence awards at an
all-college meeting. Tony Frank, provost and senior vice president,
assisted Dean Ajay Menon with the annual tradition.
The Pinnacle Award, the college's highest honor, went to
Doug Hoffman,
professor of marketing. In the spring, Hoffman received the prestigious
Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, an

challenges students.
Hoffman has taught courses on retail and marketing management and
e-marketing. He started the first services marketing course at Colorado
State, Mississippi State and the University of North Carolina at
Wilmington. He also directs the Master Teaching Initiative, a program he
founded that provides professional development opportunities to faculty
aimed at improving the quality of teaching throughout the business
school.
