Stefanie Ferguson PhotoThe National Golf Coaches Association has named Colorado State student-athletes Megan Chapman and Stefanie Ferguson to its 2006-07 Division I All-America Scholar Team.

Ferguson, who has entered her junior campaign, finished last season on a good note. She was in the Top 10 at the MWC Championships coming into the final round, and wound up tied for 21st with rounds of 76, 77 and 87, good for a 240 in the event. A two-time letterman from Broomfield (Colo.) High School, Ferguson is majoring in finance.

Chapman, who graduated from CSU in May with a degree in natural resources, concluded her career in fine fashion April 22 at the Mountain West Conference Championships in St. George, Utah. Champman, a three-time letterman out of Thornbury, Ontario, fired a final-round 76 en route to an 11th-place finish with rounds of 78-78-76.

A prestigious honor, selection to the NGCA's All-America Scholar Team requires meeting some of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year
