College NewsTim Gallagher elected as faculty representative to the Board of Governors.

 
 

Timothy Gallagher, Ph.D, and Professor and Chair of the Department of Finance and Real Estate at Colorado State University College of Business was recently elected as faculty representative to the Colorado State University Board of Governors (BOG). He will begin his service on July 1, 2007 and will serve in that capacity for the next year. Professor Gallagher was elected to the position by his peers on the Colorado State Faculty Council. The Faculty Council consists of members from each department and college. Dr. Gallagher is the current representative to the Faculty Council from the Department of Finance and Real Estate.

The faculty council representative is a non-voting member of the BOG. In this position, Dr. Gallagher will attend regular and special meetings during the academic year. His role will be to provide input to the BOG on faculty related issues such as tenure and promotion, other personnel matters, plus legislative and budget issues.
