Professional MBA students working as a team
The Professional MBA Program

The Professional MBA Program in the College of Business at Colorado State University delivers a quality education while providing you with the part-time schedule you need to fit your academic and professional endeavors into your life. Our program is designed for working professionals who want to obtain their advanced degrees without interrupting their daytime careers.

The MBA curriculum centers on global leadership, corporate citizenship and entrepreneurship. You’ll focus on fundamental aspects of advanced business, including domestic and international case studies that highlight issues and concepts with immediate application in the workplace.

The Professional MBA is developed as a “lock-step” curriculum with each course building on the one before it.  You’ll enter the program in the fall as part of a cohort, normally between 30 and 35 students, with an average of 12 years professional experience. This system allows students to collaborate as team members, network, and build long-term relationships. You’ll stay with your colleagues until graduation 21 months later. There are two 16-week semesters each year plus one eight-week summer session. Each 16-week semester is divided into two eight-week sessions.

You’ll be on campus two evenings per week, completing a total of 40 credits in the program. All classes are held in Rockwell Hall, home to the College of Business, in a state-of-the-art classroom equipped with the latest educational technology. You may further specialize our MBA program with a Certificate in Finance or a Certificate in Federal Financial Management.
