The Curriculum

The Professional MBA Program is designed to serve the needs of the working professional; the 40-credit program is completed in 21-months, including one summer session. All classes meet in the evening Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday to minimize the impact on busy work schedules. Students begin classes in the fall semester only. Admission requirements require a strong undergraduate performance from a four-year accredited institution, at least four years of professional work experience, and a strong GMAT score. Students in the Professional MBA Program complete the program in the following two year sequence, with a fall start.
 
Year 1

Fall Semester

  • Weeks 1-16: BUS615 - Accounting (4 credits)
  • Weeks 1-8: BUS620 - Leadership, Ethics and Motivation (2 credits)
  • Weeks 9-16: BUS621 – Strategic Decision Making (2 credits)


Spring Semester

  • Weeks 1-8:
    • BUS601 – Quantitative Business Analysis (2 credits)
    • BUS650 - Supply Chain Management (2 credits)
  • Weeks 9-16:
    • BUS626 – Managing Human Capital (2 credits)
    • BUS630 - Information Management (2 credits)

 
Summer Semester

  • Weeks 1-8: 

    • BUS616 - Financial Statements and Analysis (2 credits)

    • BUS635 - Business Economics for the World Market (2 credits)

 
Year 2
Fall Semester

  • Weeks 1-8:
    • BUS640 - Financial Principles and Practice (2 credits)

  • Weeks 9-16:

Spring Semester

Weeks 1-16: BUS665 – MBA Capstone (4 credits)

Weeks 1-8: BUS660 - Ethical, Legal and Regulatory Issues (2 credits)

Weeks 9-16: BUS662 - International Business (2 credits)

 

In addition to the core curriculum, students will choose four elective credits from the approved elective list.
