Academic Advising

The staff at the College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office is here to help you make the best choices for your education, and to ensure that you are aware of all the opportunities available to you as an undergraduate student seeking a major or minor degree in Business Administration. Our professional staff will help you with the ins and outs of Colorado State University, and be by your side providing guidance as you make decisions that will impact the course of your life.

Freshmen business students are required to see their assigned advisor each semester before they can register for the next semester’s classes.

Our students know the value of seeing their advisor regularly, and more than 80 percent of our undergraduates see their advisor each semester. Not only do we provide professional services, but we get to know you and offer a safe place to come when you need help, as well as a place to celebrate when things are going great.

We work to be the best at what we do, so you can be the best at what you do.

• We offer a strong team of professional advisors who, through one-on-one advising, help you select and complete your degree program.
• We work with you to achieve your academic and career goals.
• We save you time and hassle by helping you cut through the maze of paperwork, applications, and confusion that sometimes comes with academic pursuit.
• We actively recruit the best and brightest students into our degree program with Showcase CSU, College of Business Open House, high school visits, college fairs, and programs for high school groups such as DECA and Future Business Leaders of America.
• Retention efforts include the College of Business Mentoring Program for freshmen, the Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance, and various academic workshops and trainings.  We sponsor several social events during the year, including a Fall Kick-Off Barbecue, to foster the welcoming community we have come to enjoy in the College of Business.

In addition to advising, recruitment and retention efforts, our staff is active in diversity programs including the Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance, Social Justice Workshops, and we administer and facilitate diversity training sessions with business clubs and organizations, as well as other groups at Colorado State University.
