Bio
Richard Bartels is the owner of Bartels & Company, LLC, a full-service CPA firm located in Greeley, Colorado. His firm has an emphasis in assisting clients in the oil and gas industry, construction contracting, real estate developing, and retail industries.
Bartels graduated from Colorado State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting degree in 1981. He immediately began his professional career working in the Denver office of KPMG-Peat Marwick. He founded Bartels & Company, LLC in 1990.
Along with managing his CPA firm, Bartels is also active with co-founding and managing several local businesses.
Bartels is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations and is currently on the board of directors of the Daniel H. Alberts Foundation.
Bartels and his wife, Jane, have two children, Amy Wallin and Kimberly Branting, both CSU graduates.
