Distance MBA student
Program Design

The Colorado State University Distance MBA Program allows you to pursue your MBA anywhere – and anytime – you can access a computer and the Internet.

Colorado State University provides flexibility in the program completion. Depending on your personal timetable and work schedule, you can earn your MBA in as few as 21 months or flex up to five years to finish it.  The program is designed for maximum flexibility and convenience, allowing you to retain your current position while you complete the course work.  You control your own schedule within the lock-step program.

Your classmates are fellow College of Business MBA students: small-business owners, global corporate managers, entrepreneurs, private- and public-sector supervisors, U.S. military personnel, and other professionals from around the world who know a graduate business degree is the bridge to career advancement.

Earn a Colorado State University MBA – not an online or distance degree. This AACSB-accredited program has the same academic content, rigor and requirements as the on-campus Professional MBA Program. The difference is delivery.

MBA courses are filmed and recorded to DVDs. Every week classes are in session, you receive a DVD of each course you are taking. You see, hear and feel part of all classroom activity, including lectures, student questions, discussions, and presentations. To further enhance your sense of classroom involvement, the College of Business has introduced an interactive communications tool that enables small groups to work simultaneously on a single document; through the use of webcams and voice tools, students get the feeling of being a team as they work on a project or presentation.

Students are an integral part of continual technology upgrades and improvements within the program. You can supplement your access to lecture content through video streaming, accessing the full classroom dynamic within hours. As a result, you are connected – not isolated – in the Distance MBA Program.

You are always welcome to come to campus; however, doing so is not a program requirement. Even though, there is no on-campus requirement more than half of each year’s Distance MBA Program graduates participate in commencement ceremonies here in Fort Collins, a testimony to the strong affiliation they have with Colorado State University.
